Gordon A Shepperd, PE, RRC
Mr. Shepperd is President of Apollo BBC, Inc. and is a Principal Consultant for technical services. Since founding the firm in 2005, Mr. Shepperd has performed business development, provided community outreach, managed technical services for the firm, and provided professional development for technical consultants. Providing leadership for technical services is the primary managerial responsibility for Mr. Shepperd.

Mr. Shepperd draws on his experience in forensic investigation to provide expert building system analysis, quality assurance during construction, and recommendations for building enclosure systems.
His approach to building system assessment takes into consideration the original design intent, construction methods, and may include performance testing and analytical simulation to determine the causes of failure. His repair recommendations commonly range from localized repairs, removal and replacement of the existing system, to upgrading to a superior system.
Mr. Shepperd has provided expert testimony relating to litigation cases and has provided technical consulting for disputes and claims.
Gordon is active in several technical communities, including the US Green Building Council (USGBC), the Association for Preservation Technology (APTI), the American Society of Heating Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the Building Enclosure Council (BEC), and International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI). He is a licensed professional engineer in multiple states.
CORE COMPETENCIES
Mr. Shepperd evaluates new and historic buildings, with a focus on weather barriers, moisture migration through assemblies, structural performance and performance testing. His experience analyzing failures encompasses insulated enclosure assemblies, fenestration and curtain walls, a variety of structural systems, and numerous cladding types including stone, masonry metal, stucco, concrete, and EIFS.
