With a background in mechanical HVAC systems design and evaluation as well as building enclosure forensics, Marcus provides opinions on a wide array of technical subject matters. He regularly supports building commissioning, commercial building energy simulation, and failure analysis of building enclosure systems.
CORE COMPETENCIES
Mr. Eliason diagnoses and resolves building construction and operation related issues with a focus on mechanical HVAC systems. To this end, he examines the operational performance of the mechanical system and it’s interaction with building enclosure systems. His experience extends to performing energy modeling of new and existing buildings, building commissioning, indoor air quality, and building energy audits.
Mr. Eliason also extensive experience dealing with problem resolution in buildings. He is experienced at technical analysis of assemblies to determine the condition of the building envelope. This includes detail and design review as well as computational modeling of all building enclosure systems. He also has experience diagnosing imperfections with the building enclosure and suggesting repair strategies. He has performed quality assurance site visits for residential, commercial office, industrial, and institutional buildings.
